Joint Stock Company "Babaevsky LPH" is one of the 10 largest timber felling enterprises in the region. Annual felling volume is appr. 250 000 cbm of round timber. The availability of multi-branch network of forest roads and 70 km of Gorbachevskaya narrow-gauge railway allows to deliver timber to terminals. Timber is delivered to the customers by railway transport. More than 60% of products are exported.

JSC "Babaevsky LPH" is a highly mechanized enterprise equipped by modern harvesting facilities. John Deere machines and equipment: 2 harvesters 1270 D, skidders 460 and 468, feller-buncher 853 J, 2 forwarders 1010 D and 2 forwarders 1010 A are nowadays in use.

The company annually increases volume of felling by the assortment technology. 40% of the felling volume is produced using this technology. Volume of winter felling and other methods allowing to improve sustainable forestry are also introduced.

In the nearest future the company is planning to pass voluntary forest certification, to continue introduction of modern machinery, to organize work of independent contracting teams, to reorganize management structure with the purpose to improve managerial effectiveness.

Nowadays the number of employees in the company is more than 500, including specialists in different fields. Permanent training of specialists is organized directly at the enterprise and also at specialized educational institutions of Cherepovets, Vologda, Saint-Petersburg and Moscow.
